In Australia sports investors closed a big deal with eSports team
Australian group of sports investors Guinevere Capital has purchased the majority stake of League of Legends e-sports team Dire Wolves. This deal became the largest one in the history of Australian virtual sport.
Investors are planning to level up Dire Wolves to the international level using its experience in the promotion of traditional sports teams. Guinevere Capital managing director David Harris has 15 years of experience in sports management. He worked with football clubs of the Premier League, as well as with other large global organizations of the sports world.
Plans of David Harris also include participation of Dire Wolves in world championship and turning the team into a serious sporting franchise. Representatives of both parties agree that this deal will increase the status of eSports disciplines in Australia and Oceania, as well as attract new sponsors.
