“Google Tax” isn’t applied to Steam platform users yet

It is reported the 18% tax on the purchase of video games won’t be added to the Steam prices. The tax is planned to be deducted from the initial price. Thus, “Google tax” will be paid by Valve and video game publishers rather than by buyers.
However, in order to avoid financial losses, many publishers are likely to raise prices on their products. For example, GSC Game World decided to raise the price of both “Cossacks 3” game and all its additional content starting from Monday, January 16, 2017.
