On the 1st December, Moscow will host Russia's first conference devoted to the current situation and prospects of eSports discipline business segment – eSPORTconf Russia 2016. It will be attended by speakers focusing on mind sports and their commercialization.

A special attention will be dedicated to the presentation of Mikhail Novoselov, the Candidate of pedagogic sciences, associate professor and head of the department of information technologies in Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism (SCOLIPE). The speaker is the head of “Theories and principles of mind sports (cybersports)” specialization and leading lecturer of master’s program called “Top-class sports and training system for athletes”.

Mikhail Novoselov has been leading the program called University Saturday at Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism for many years. It is workshops for high school students on developing computer games and e-sports.

The presentation topic: Problems and prospects of e-sports in education.

As an experienced representative of the education sector, Mikhail Novoselov will describe the current situation in higher education establishments regarding educating cyber athletes and will share his insights regarding its prospects.

Everyone aiming to listen to Mikhail Novoselov’s presentation can attend eSPORTconf Russia 2016 on the 1st of December. The conference will also include presentations of other Russian and foreign speakers who have made a significant contribution to the e-sports development.
