An eSports league ELEAGUE (WME/IMG), Turner Sports Television Company and an electric car racing championship Formula E have signed an agreement about holding an eRace Competition within Consumer Electronics Show 2017 (CES). eRace is an eSports racing tournament.

An rFactor2 software was used to create a ground for Las Vegas eRace competition which will be a realistic model of Formula E. A virtual track will resemble the City of Las Vegas where annual CES takes place.

Among tournament participants are 20 Formula E drivers and 10 racers who will be chosen through online qualification.

The championship will be held on January, 7 in CES exhibition zone. The total prize fund will amount to $1 mln and the winner will get $200 000. Such a prize will make the tournament the largest electric car racing competition in the world.
