FACEBOOK: NEW PARTNER OF ESL TOURNAMENT OPERATOR

From now on, the rights for broadcasting popular championships ESL One and Pro League belong exclusively to Facebook. The social network created a specialized service Facebook Watch, which allows users to watch broadcasts in high quality – 1080p.

Leo Olebe, director of global gaming partnerships at Facebook, recalls that ESL has been using the social network for many years to promote the cyber community. After the introduction of Facebook Watch, the audience of e-sports tournaments should increase even more.

The new platform will broadcast the first tournament on January 23-28: it will be the Dota 2 championship with a total prize pool of $400,000.
