Compendium will help to boost StarCraft 2 prize pools

July 19 was a day of the official release of first StarCraft 2 compendium. Blizzard Ent. named the new product “Trophy fund”, that reflects its goal – increase tournament prizes.

Trophy fund has three stages, the first – on July 19, the second will start on August 16, and the third – on September 13. They are connected to three parts of the Shadow War comics, which is a bonus for compendium owners.

The price for one set of in-game objects is about 600 RUB, but one package for one of three races costs 1500 RUB. The company will distribute 25% of received money among funds of the season 2017/2018 disciplinary events.

The first $200 000 will be immediately added to the prize pool of the world championship rising it up to $700 000. The event will take place at the BlizzCon 2017 in the beginning of November.
